Photography from a 2013 NOBO thru-hike. It remains one of my fondest memories, six months hiking from Georgia to Maine, learning a lot about myself in the process, and meeting the love of my life. I found that the part of me who could hike through thirteen days of straight bone soaking rain, the part of me who could climb storm covered mountains and ford waist deep rivers, was a part of me that could do something positive in the world. I vowed to be more adventurous and to not waste my life doing something I wasn't passionate about.
During the Summer of 2019, I spent a little over a month working with a studio team in Greece. Most of the time spent was in Athens and Chania. My team and I created a comprehensive tourism plan for a suburban beach community designed to improve the stormwater infrastructure to prevent runoff onto the beaches, create multiple protected pedestrian crossings for a highway blocking access to shore, and devise a network of grade separated multi-use trails to enhance pedestrian experience.
