Master's Capstone Project, completed in Spring 2020. A derelict property is studied for possible community focused redevelopment opportunities. Despite many plans describing what the site could look like in the future, they hadn't addressed how to implement those ideas. The client, Space Inc., wanted the capstone to focus on possible solutions for the challenging situation caused by the difficult ownership, divided political position, and deteriorated site conditions.
The capstone project involved substantial demographic and academic research, a traffic study analysis, and the creation of several GIS maps. The primary recommendation involved a possible public-private partnership with a focus on urban renewal tools and a blight study.

This report represents a body of work created in 2016 as part of a personal search for answers to a then underrepresented question: What happened to the West End and Kenyon-Barr neighborhoods in Cincinnati, OH? Those two historically black communities were destroyed during the era of aggressive urban renewal in the middle of the 20th century.
I explored many different themes while traveling and studying in Greece. I ended up condensing those disparate thoughts into three themes, which represent to me how people experience and interact with their environment.
